About David
David Crown has established himself as one of the UK’s most inspiring, dedicated and gifted choral conductors. His outstanding abilities as a vocal technician which draw on his own singing experience and expertise as a soloist, together with his excellent track record as a conductor with choirs of all sizes, have placed him in a unique position in his field.
He is currently also Musical Director of Cheltenham Bach Choir and vOx Chamber Choir.
David’s concerts and recordings have received plaudits around the UK and abroad. As a guest conductor he is increasingly in demand for choirs and orchestras.
David’s other work includes choral masterclasses and workshops. His background as a professional singer, professional viola player and sought-after singing teacher have all contributed to the depth he brings to his work.

As a resident of Oxfordshire for approaching two decades, David is fully committed to the local music scene and is passionate about making excellent music and bringing it to audiences both in and outside of Oxford.
